Kids say the darndest things

Just a few funny things Jackson has said lately . . .

Jackson was banging a toy on the kitchen floor and both Aaron and I had told him "we don't bang things on our floor." Then I heard a tiny voice saying, " but dad, I do." It took a minute for it to register with me and then we had to correct him and say that no one was suppose to bang things on the floor.

Jackson is really into dinosaurs right now and one day he came over to me while I was on the computer and said something about "change" while he laid one of his dinos on its back by me. I didn't understand him at first but then I realized that he wanted me to "change the dinos bum. I tried to tell him that his dinosaurs didn't need to ware diapers but he persisted to lay his dino on the changing table in the basement where we were and go upstairs to fetch his wipes in the bathroom. So I tried to play along and wipe the dino and say I put on a pretend diaper (his dinosaurs are way too small to put on any real diapers) He still wasn't satisfied. I finally tried fashioning a paper diaper on the dino and that seemed ok to him. Then brought me another dinosaurs & I put a paper diaper on it. This continued until I think we had 4 dinos with diapers on and I convinced him that was enough.

Here are a few things he calls/says slightly different that what they actually are:
Seasme Street - he call "Elmo Street"
Pepperonie - he says "pep-a-monie"
Instead of take a nap - He told his dad to "take a sleep"

For some reason that is all I can think of right now although I know there were a few more good ones I was meaning to write down too. Maybe I'll remember them later.
